Lamberts Ashwagandha contains only a full spectrum Ashwagandha root extract as this has been the focus of traditional use over thousands of years and is consistent with published studies. The active compounds, called withanolides, are included at their optimum level, of 5%, which is a full 15mg per capsule. This is consistent with published studies and a level much higher than many are claiming for their daily dose.

What is Ashwagandha?

Ashwagandha (also known as Withania somnifera of Indian ginseng) is an evergreen shrub that grows in certain parts of the Middle East, India and parts of Africa. It has been used as a traditional herbal remedy since ancient times and there are hundreds of studies by medical researchers who have been studying ashwagandha for years with great interest.

The Ashwagandha used in Lamberts Ashwagandha undergoes a sophisticated screening process prior to manufacturing to ensure that the material meets strict quality standards. Sadly, this is not true of all ashwagandha Supplements, where in some cases, roots are often mixed with aerial parts (for which the traditional indication was as a topical application) and other plant parts. Many of these products do not meet their label claim and in some cases, they contain high levels of contaminants.

What is Ashwagandha good for?

Ashwagandha is often referred to as the 'king of Ayurvedic herbs' because it is thought to benefit human health in a variety of different ways. Ashwagandha has demonstrated excellent immune-boosting effects on the immune system as it encourages the anti-inflammatory and disease-fighting immune cells to ward off illness

Limited research also suggests that Ashwagandha may work well for reducing the levels of Stress and Anxiety, which are often caused by the daily demands of modern day lifestyles.
