Viridian Organic Pine Bark & Berry Powder is made from wild red lingonberries and the deepest blue bilberries that grow in Finland. These berries are the natural Food of bears and birds; reassuringly, of the millions of tonnes of wild-grown berries, only 5% are harvested for human nutrition, the rest are left to nature. Completing the mix is a blend of proanthocyanidin-rich Arctic pine bark and Arctic Bilberry extracts, which are all sustainably harvested and carefully blended to create a pleasant-tasting daily drink.

How is Viridian Organic Pine Bark & Berry Powder made?

To make Organic Pine Bark & Berry Powder, Viridian use a gentle extraction process, without harsh chemicals, which only relies on water. Wild lingonberries and bilberries are handpicked and wild-harvested in a sustainable way from pristine, certified organic Lapland forests in Finland, and then blended with proanthocyanidin-rich Arctic pine bark and Arctic bilberry extracts. The result is a super-concentrated extract!

Why are bilberries & lingonberries important?

Our diet plays a pivotal role in chronic diseases, and the role of Antioxidants in chronic disease prevention has been long studied and researched. Like all berries, bilberries and lingonberries contain coloured pigments, Anthocyanins, which have potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidative agents. Recent studies suggest that these anthocyanins may reduce the risk of a cardiovascular disease, so consuming a daily portion of antioxidant-rich lingonberries and bilberries may therefore help to prevent cardiovascular diseases altogether.
