What is Tulsi?

Throughout India Tulsi (also known as Holy Basil) is considered “The Queen of Herbs” and is revered as a sacred plant infused with healing powers. Traditionally grown in an earthen pot in every family home or garden, Tulsi’s remarkable life-enhancing qualities are repeatedly noted in ancient Indian scriptures dating back over 5,000 years. These days, modern research suggests that Tulsi's traditionally known actions and therapeutic uses include its remarkable adaptogenic and anti-stress properties, as well as its ability to support the Immune System.

What is Ginger?

Ginger is a flowering plant whose rhizome, ginger root or ginger, is widely used as a spice or traditional medicine. It is used to activate the body's fire element, to burn up toxins and improve digestion. Soothing to the stomach, ginger is also used to prevent and relieve nausea, heartburn and morning sickness.

Is Organic India Tulsi Ginger Tea beneficial for a cold & cough?

While we can make no claim that Organic India Tulsi Ginger Tea will benefit those suffering with a cough or cold, there is certainly no harm in consuming it. The anti-inflammatory gingerols in ginger may help to relieve a sore throat or help to kill rhinoviruses, which are often the common cause of a cold in the first place.
