Holle Organic A2 Infant Formula 1 Milk contains only the A2 variant of beta-casein protein and not the A1 form. Both A2 & A1 beta-casein are genetic variations of the beta-casein milk protein, which differ by 1 amino acid.

Which breed of cows produce a2 milk?

Holle Organic A2 Infant Formula 1 Milk is sourced from specially selected cows which produce only A2 beta-casein protein. These cows are often referred to as the 'Holstein' breed, and are the most common dairy cow breed in Northern Europe, Australia & the United States of America.
