'Hodmedod' is a local dialect word - in Suffolk it means snail and in Norfolk hedgehog.

So what will I find in your selection of Hodmedod's products?

Don't worry, theres no hedgehogs or snails here but rather an extensive selection British-grown Pulses & Grains. Since 2012, Hodmedod's have worked with local farmers to provide you, the consumer, with a wide range of beans and peas, as well as some of the first British-grown Quinoa. As well as their dried beans, peas and quinoa, for cooking, Hodmedod's also roast beans and peas to create very moreish ready-to-eat Snacks. 

Is Hodmedod's organic?

Yes! Hodmedod's is audited and certified by the Soil Association for the supply of a range of organic pulses & grains.

Why should I choose Hodmedod's foods?

All over the world pulses and grains are enjoyed in a multitude of traditional recipes - including ful medames, houmous, falafel, crisp snacks, Soups, stews, curry and dal. Yet here in the UK in they're used as animal feed (and as a useful break crop that fixes nitrogen). It seems that three or four hundred years ago the British people simply lost their taste for humble beans and pulses, however Hodmedod's are committed to providing such quality Food from British farms that's more sustainably produced.
