The Super Vegan Smoothie
The Super Vegan Smoothie contains a wonderful range of ingredients for you to blend together and produce into a delicious smoothie. Not only does it contains wonderful fruits, Protein powders and superfoods it also contains Bee Pollen.
Herbalists have said for years that bee pollen is exceptionally nutritious and may ease symptoms of certain ailments. Health benefits are thought to include:
- Boosting immune system
- Maintenance of healthy hair, skin and nails.
- Helps to strengthen blood capillaries and vessels and therefore supporting cardiovascular system.
- Stimulation of ovarian function
- Reduction in fatigue and increased physical strength and stamina.
- Effective against some bacteria
- Helps regulate bowel function.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Frozen berry blend (blueberries, strawberries, blackberries) Organic is preferred.
- 1 Banana (or mango or pear).
- 1 scoop Protein powder (Examples: Sunwarrior Protein Raw Vegan Natural Powder, Naturya Organic Hemp Protein Powder or Superfruit Organic Rice Protein Powder.
- 1 teaspoon Hemp hearts.
- 1/2 teaspoon Chia seeds ground.
- Dash of Turmeric (will help with inflammation).
- 1 scoop of Greens powder (choice your favourite greens superfood to make taste more delicious for you).
- Probiotics.
- 1 tablespoon Bee pollen.
- 1 tablespoon of Omega oil.
- 1 teaspoon Ground flax.
- Pure juice to taste (cranberry, pomegranate, blueberry).
Although these ingredients are what we have chosen, you can mix them up a little for your own delightful taste.
Example: change the Banana to a Mango or Pear or choose your favourite Green Superfood, i.e Chlorella, Barley Grass or Spirulina.
Method:
Simply place all ingredients into a blender and blend for around 30-45 seconds or until nice and smooth.
When you have finished making the smoothie why not try adding some more delicious Bee Pollen or Goji Berries on top of the smoothie.
