What does Viridian Lutein Plus do?

Lutein accumulates in the eye and is thought to protect against damage to the retina and macula. As an antioxidant, lutein also fights harmful free radicals, shielding retina's cells from high-energy blue light from the display screens of tablets, computers, mobile phones, and other digital devices. Furthermore, oral supplementation of lutein may contribute to an improvement in overall Skin tone.

What is Lutein?

Lutein (Lutea) is a pigment closely related to lycopene and beta-carotene. It's name comes from the Latin word for yellow, which may have something to do with the fact that lutein is responsible for a yellow peppers vivid yellow colour. 

What foods contain Lutein?

Other than the aforementioned, bright yellow peppers, lutein is found in high amounts in leafy green vegetables, like spinach & kale.
